Conditions of Conveyance

Tickets

• Tickets are non-transferable.
• It remains the responsibility of the owner thereof to ensure that all pertinent information is correctly recorded on the WhatsApp confirmation.
• Passengers are not allowed to break their journey unless separate tickets are issued with the appropriate tariff for each journey.
• Any alterations to the ticket will render same invalid.
• It is the clients responsibility to review his shopping cart when making a booking.
  Gecko Travel and Tours, will not be made liable for any extra charges to your account after the booking has been made, and the travel ticket has been made use of.

Cancellation

• No refunds are permitted.
• Upon the event of cancellation, more than 48 hours prior to travel date, the ticket will be transferred to travel voucher at an additional admin cost of R50.
• Upon the event of cancellation, less than 24 hours prior to travel date, will result in ticket forfeit.
• Alterations or changes more than 48 hours prior to trip are permitted if there is space on the preferred travel date. Alternatively, a travel voucher will be issued, at an additional cost of R50.
• Alterations or changes less than 24 hours prior to trip are not permitted.

Departure time

• Passengers are requested to be at the departure point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
• Any seat not occupied 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure will be offered to stand-by passengers on a first come first served basis at the appropriate rate.

Passenger luggage

• Each fare paying passenger is allowed to take, free of charge, at own risk, 2x small items of luggage, or 1x item not exceeding 20kg in mass or 80cm x 60cm x 30cm as volumetric equivalent.
• Extra suitcase will be charged at R150.
• The carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage of luggage which does not comply with these parameters.
• Large items must be carried in the luggage container/trailer and must be loaded by the carrier agent.
• Passengers are not allowed to load/offload luggage by themselves.
• Unaccompanied luggage will not be permitted.
• The carrier will not accept any liability for loss or damage to passengers’ luggage and personal effects.
• The carrier does not provide general insurance cover. Therefore, all passengers are to ensure that they are adequately insured.

General

• Smoking is not permitted on any of the busses.
• Consumption of alcohol or any other illegal substance will not be permitted.
• Strictly no pets are allowed.
• Unaccompanied children under the age of 12 will not be conveyed unless parents/guardians provide an indemnity.
• The carrier will endeavor to abide by the published time schedule, but these times may be affected by road, traffic, weather and other conditions beyond the control of the carrier. Therefore, the carrier will not accept liability for any cost incurred due to the failure to keep the aforementioned schedule.
• The carrier also reserves the right undertake to convey or continue to convey any passenger(s).
• Passengers are not permitted to travel on the vehicle between depots and terminal points.
• All tariffs and schedules are subject to change without prior notice.
• It is your responsibility to check your phone regarding time changes on your travel day.
